Turkmen Asyk Earrings

These Asyk motif earrings are typical of the Turkmen Tekke tribe, with designs of stylized birds wings and flames highlighted by gold-gild over silver. The large center carnelian bead is set in a raised bezel, perched there to ward off the evil eye and invigorate the wearer.
